Property Hosting Best Practices on BOOKD
Creating a trustworthy, seamless experience for both Property Hosts and Guests is at the core of BOOKD. Here’s how to set clear expectations, protect your space, and build lasting trust within the BOOKD community.
Be Transparent
Transparency builds trust. Always provide accurate and detailed information about your space, its amenities, features, and any special rules. Clear listings help users make informed decisions and lead to smoother bookings.
Ask Clarifying Questions Before the Shoot/Event
After getting connected, make sure you understand:
Purpose of the shoot or event
Number of attendees
Special needs or requests
Don't hesitate to ask questions—clear communication prevents misunderstandings.
Prepare for and Supervise Bookings
As a Property Host, you are responsible for protecting your space. Before the event:
Conduct a walkthrough with the user to document the condition of the space pre-event (photos/videos recommended)
After the event:
Conduct a post-event walkthrough.
Compare with your pre-event documentation.
If you plan to stay on-site during the event or use video surveillance, you must inform the user beforehand to set proper expectations.
Your Safety Matters
If at any point you feel unsafe or uncomfortable:
Contact BOOKD Support immediately.
If it's after hours and support isn't readily available, document the situation and collect evidence to the best of your ability.
Your security and comfort are a priority at BOOKD.
