What are BOOKD's Community Guidelines?

BOOKD Team

Last Update a year ago

We are committed to building a trusted and respectful community of Hosts and Renters on our platfrom.

To ensure a safe, secure, and professional experience for everyone, we ask all members to follow these core guidelines:

Maintain a Safe Environment

Your actions and behavior should never threaten the safety of others.

Weapons, toxic substances, dangerous animals, and unsafe practices (such as blocking emergency exits or creating fire hazards) are strictly prohibited at any BOOKD location.

We reserve the right to intervene if we become aware of any safety threats to any Host, Renter, or property.

Respect Property and Payments

Treat every location and item with care and honesty.

Theft, vandalism, property damage, unauthorized use, spam, extortion, or fraud of any kind is prohibited.

All transactions must be completed through the BOOKD platform — off-platform payments, booking fraud, or diversion of payments violates our Terms of Service and will result in action, including potential removal from the community.

Respect Neighbors and Local Communities

All users must be mindful of the neighbors and workers near any BOOKD-listed property.

Avoid creating disturbances, excessive noise, or any nuisance that affects the surrounding environment.

Please cooperate fully with property management, neighbors, and any applicable local authorities if concerns are raised.

Be Genuine and Honest

Our community relies on authenticity and trust.

Use your real identity. Hosts must accurately represent their spaces, availability, and any hazards or restrictions.

Renters must accurately describe the nature of their booking and use the space in accordance with the approved purpose.

Fake listings, duplicate accounts, unauthorized use of spaces, or misleading information is not tolerated.

Keep Commitments

Cancellations without a valid reason disrupt the experience for everyone.

Once you commit to a booking, you are expected to honor it unless an emergency occurs.

Similarly, Renters must pay as agreed and follow all space-specific rules.

Hosts should not surprise Renters with undisclosed requirements after a booking is confirmed.

Respect Privacy and Intellectual Property

Respect the privacy, property, and rights of others.

Unauthorized access to accounts, undisclosed surveillance, spying, and misuse of another’s intellectual property (like images, brand names, or content) are strictly prohibited.

Remain Responsive and Professional

Good communication is essential for smooth bookings.

Hosts and Renters are expected to stay responsive before, during, and after the booking.

Provide clear points of contact and cooperate fully if any issues arise.

If a dispute occurs, you are expected to participate in the resolution process — which you can initiate by raising a Support Ticket through the Help Center or you can drop an email at [email protected]

By using BOOKD, you agree to uphold these guidelines and contribute to maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive community.
