BOOKD Renting Guidelines

At BOOKD, we believe that a trusted and safe community is built on transparency, professionalism, and mutual respect.

All users — both Hosts and Renters — are required to adhere to the following Renting Guidelines when using our platform and services.

Violations may result in account suspension, removal from the platform, or other actions as deemed necessary to protect the community.

Maintain a Safe Environment

All Guests and Hosts must prioritize safety at all times.

Threatening behavior, physical harm, or unsafe practices — including the presence of unsecured weapons, hazardous materials, or dangerous animals — are strictly prohibited at any BOOKD-listed space.

Hosts must ensure that emergency exits remain clear and accessible at all times.

BOOKD reserves the right to intervene and take appropriate action if any safety risk to persons or property is identified.

Respect Property and Transactions

Respect for property is fundamental to maintaining a trusted environment.

Theft, vandalism, fraud, misuse of space, unauthorized possession of property, or damaging a space intentionally or through negligence is strictly forbidden.

All communications and payments must be conducted exclusively through the BOOKD platform.

Off-platform transactions, payment diversion, credit card fraud, money laundering, solicitation for off-platform business, or making false claims against other users will result in immediate action and possible removal from BOOKD.

Respect Neighbors and Communities

Users must conduct themselves responsibly and respectfully within and around any booked property.

Disrupting shared spaces, disrespecting neighbors, creating excessive noise, or ignoring complaints or legal concerns from property management or local authorities is prohibited.

Both Renters and Hosts are responsible for maintaining good relations with the surrounding community.

Be Authentic and Honest

Authenticity and accuracy are critical to trust on BOOKD.

All users must provide truthful and accurate personal information.

Hosts must accurately describe their spaces, amenities, and any restrictions or hazards.

Renters must accurately disclose the intended purpose of the booking.

Using false names, maintaining multiple accounts without authorization, booking spaces for unapproved uses (such as hosting a party under the guise of a photoshoot), listing false or misleading information, or otherwise engaging in deception is strictly prohibited.

Honor Your Commitments

Bookings are formal agreements and must be honored unless a legitimate emergency occurs.

Renters must pay all agreed charges and comply with the location’s stated rules and expectations.

Hosts must deliver the space as described at the time of booking.

Last-minute undisclosed changes, undisclosed additional requirements, or failing to fulfill your obligations under the booking agreement is a violation of these guidelines.

Respect Privacy and Intellectual Property

Privacy and intellectual property rights must be respected at all times.

Unauthorized surveillance, spying, accessing other users’ accounts without consent, or infringing on copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property is strictly forbidden.

Any monitoring devices (such as cameras) must be disclosed to Guests in advance, and their placement must comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Stay Responsive and Cooperative

Good communication is essential to a successful booking experience.

Users must remain responsive and available before, during, and after the booking.

Failure to respond during an active booking, lack of a reliable point of contact, or refusing to engage with BOOKD’s support team in case of a dispute violates community expectations.

Disputes must be handled professionally, and all parties are expected to participate in resolution efforts, including raising or responding to support tickets through our Help Centre.

By using BOOKD, you agree to comply with these Renting Guidelines and contribute to maintaining a secure, respectful, and trustworthy community.
