How do I report overtime or damages?

BOOKD Team

Last Update a year ago

At the end of a booking, it is the responsibility of the Host or their designated Site Representative to conduct a walkthrough of the space together with the Renter.

  • During the walkthrough, both parties should inspect the location for any damages, overtime usage, or other overages (such as exceeding guest capacity or unapproved usage).
  • If any damages or overages are identified, they must be clearly documented and acknowledged by both the Host (or Site Rep) and the Renter before leaving the venue.

While BOOKD does not directly manage overtime charges or security deposit claims, we are available to assist in facilitating dispute resolution between Hosts and Renters when needed.

Important:

Any disputes regarding overtime, damages, or other issues must be reported to BOOKD Support within 2 hours of the booking’s scheduled end time.

  • Hosts should submit clear documentation, including:
  • A detailed description of the overtime or damage incident,
  • Photographic or video evidence,
  • Any signed walkthrough forms, communication records, or supporting invoices or estimates (in the case of damage).

BOOKD will review the submitted information and assist both parties in resolving the dispute fairly.

Please note that while we offer dispute assistance, final settlements for overtime or damages are handled directly between the Host and the Renter.

If you need to report an issue, raise a support ticket immediately.
