What happens if the Host cancels?

If the Host cancels:

• You’ll get a full refund (including all Fees).
  
• BOOKD will assist you with rebooking if needed.
  
• The Host may face penalties for unexcused cancellations.
  

There are exceptions in case of emergencies (like illness, natural disasters).  BOOKD may approve an Excused Cancellation (applicable only for Hosts rendering them unable to provide the space) if:

• There’s a serious illness, injury, or death;
  
• Severe weather, disasters, or emergency restrictions affect the event;
  
• Urgent property safety issues prevent the event.
  

Proof may be required.

In rare cases (e.g., safety concerns, legal reasons), BOOKD may cancel a booking. You will either receive a full refund or BOOKD will assist you in finding another space. BOOKD may decide to treat the issue on case by case basis, without any notice.
